"I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy. Surely the righteous shall give thanks to your name; the upright shall dwell in your presence."

~ Psalm 140:12-13

Living as aliens in this world, sojourners just passing through; we all can relate to this psalm in some capacity.  We relate to the difficulties and opposition of the world against God’s ways in our life.  But as this psalmist David does, we must remember and rely on God’s sovereignty over all…over both righteousness and wickedness/evil.  As David also states here, we must get and keep our heart in line with God’s heart.  All the while being cautious to not take action or prerogative that is God’s alone.

Instead, we rest in the certain promises of God and his character for our ultimate outcome.  And with such things we encourage and build one another up.
