Have you stopped to ponder the difference between belief and faith. Truly we are to believe the gospel, but a true faith is a trust in the gospel that causes one to act/react in certain ways. One might believe that fire is hot and that contact with fire will burn and too much contact with fire will kill, but one exercises faith when they run in the opposite direction of an oncoming blaze.

Jesus said that true followers of His will keep His commandments (John 14:15) and demonstrate love toward one another (John 13:34-35). Have you paused recently to see what your faith does? Perhaps your faith has seemed a bit dormant lately. Jesus commanded the apostle John to write to the church of Ephesus encouraging the believers there to “repent, and do the works you did at first…” (Revelation 2:5)

Not sure where to get started? Here’s a hint: most works mentioned in the New Testament are “one another” commands. Your local church provides prime real estate to jump back into living a life in accord with your faith.
