"O God, save me by your name, and vindicate me by your might."
~ Psalm 54:1
In the name of Jesus Christ, we have been saved (v.1). Through the mighty power of his blood, we have been vindicated (v.1). As he intercedes before the throne of our Father in heaven, our prayers are heard (v.2). He has sent his Holy Spirit to be our helper(v.4)…the Lord himself is the upholder of our lives (v.4). In the Blessed Hope of our Savior's return, we have been delivered from every trouble and have victory over the enemy (v.7). Be not discouraged this day! Come freely to offer thanks to his name, for he is good (v.6)!
Will you pray this prayer with me?
“Father, you are the Almighty God, and awesome is your name. You are a mighty fortress in which I find refuge and refreshment. Because of your love and because of your Son Jesus Christ, it is well with my soul…I can trust you with all of my tomorrows, no matter what they may bring. In Christ, you have delivered me from every trouble and in him I have triumphed over the enemy. Sin and Death and Satan and Hell have been defeated. May all the glory be to Christ. LORD, I come freely to worship you in thanksgiving; to make much of you and your word and your works. May you be pleased and be praised to work in me. Help me God, to not grow cold nor be lead astray; nor to betray one another nor to hate one another…but to endure to the end no matter what the tribulations or hardships may be…that I would be faithful to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom to the eternal glory of your name. Amen.”
