In the fourth Servant Song of Isaiah (Isaiah 52:13-53:12), we see the prophecy concerning the exaltation of the LORD’s servant, Jesus Christ. “Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up and shall be exalted” (Isaiah 52:13). Exaltation signifies our reverence and admiration for someone, our admiration for who they are and their remarkable achievements. Jesus truly deserves our exaltation!

Now, let’s explore practical ways to exalt Jesus in our daily lives:

  1. Prayer: In our prayers, we have the privilege of praising Jesus for who He is and the incredible things He has done. Paul provides a powerful example in Ephesians 1:19-22.
  2. Conversations: Let’s emulate the Israelites’ commandment to exalt Yahweh for His wondrous deeds in Deuteronomy 6:4-7. In our daily conversations, let’s remember to exalt Jesus.
  3. Daily Activities: We can exalt Jesus in every aspect of our lives, whether it’s mundane or exciting. See 1 Corinthians 10:23-33 for guidance.
  4. Suffering and Death: Even in the face of suffering and death, we can exalt Jesus. The church of Smyrna was encouraged to do so in Revelation 2:8-11.

It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget to exalt Jesus. Take a moment in prayer, focusing on exalting Him before our Heavenly Father. Afterward, share your appreciation for Jesus with someone else.
