Have you ever considered prayer and priorities?

I believe that a person (and a church) prays what they prioritize; and likewise, will prioritize what they pray. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 says,

“The end of the matter; all has been heard.  Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole of man.  For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.”

This can rightly be taken as a simple summary of what we should both prioritize and pray; that we would fear God and keep his commandments.

Sanctification and freedom from sin is one of God’s desires for you in fearing him and obeying his commands; and therefore should be your desire (priority).  Let us then, together, pray this priority and prioritize this prayer.

Prayer is a mechanism that God intends for molding and shaping our hearts toward a proper fear and obedience of him.  We must engage in it wisely, intentionally and humbly.   Pray what it is God wants you to prioritize and go out from there prioritizing what you pray.
