"But you, you are to be feared!  Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused?"

~ Psalm 76:7

God has made himself known!  He has revealed himself.  He has chosen to make his name great in the people of his creation, the people of his election (v.1).  He is the one who has established a house for himself (v.2), not living in temples made by man (Acts 17:24-25).  He is the one who brings peace (v.3).  He is the one who is our abundant provision (v.4).  He is the one to be feared above all, the one who has been feared above all, and will be feared above all (v.5-12).

God is glorious and mighty in victorious triumph.  Even the wrath of man against God gives evidence to God’s praiseworthiness; it will be worn as a garment of praise (v.10).  God sovereignly elects to redemption and perdition, all for praise of his glorious name (Romans 9).  Let us bring the gift of presenting ourselves as living sacrifices to him (v.11) (Romans 12:1).

Fear God and keep his commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13).
